From Kristin: I am among the many who cannot believe it has been so long. In the past 20 years, I have resided in five states in the Lower 48. Three years ago, I moved across the country to New York with the husband of nine years, Eric. I love living in the city that I used to only know on New Year’s Eve when Dick Clark would ‘Rock in the New Year’ (prerecorded of course)
I just recently entered motherhood as Eric and I had a baby boy, Milo Thomas, 6 months ago. It has been the best life experience! I am looking forward to bringing him home to Alaska in June.

From Chimmi: Hello from Phoenix. I have been married to my husband Dave Herwig for 4 years, and we have a beautiful daughter, Trinity, who is 16months young and 2 great dogs. I have been here in Phoenix for gosh - 12 years - WOW!! I took Dave up for a fishing trip in 2004 - that was a blast. I still work at Express as a Store Manager @ Scottsdale Fashion Sq so if ever anyone is in town - stop in. I love what I do. I keep telling Dave that I would be perfect for the CEO position of Herwig/Chapin & Associates whenever he is ready (haha.) All my family lives within 15 minutes from us (my mom and my sister's (Sandy-West high Grad of 1988) family.) We couldn't do it without them. We travelled a lot before Trin but now we just spend time in Trinity Land. Well, see you guys in June.

From Min: Hello everyone! WOW! 20 years already! So much to catch up on... I just found out about the dates to the 20th reunion, so I'm not sure if I'll attend... But hope everyone had a good time. Right after graduation, I was at University of Alaska, Anchorage. After 1st year of college, I felt college wasn't for me at the time, so I signed up with the U.S. Marine Corps (4 years active duty). What a experience that was!!! I got to see a lot and do a lot as well. I was over in the Persian Gulf during the Desert Shield/Storm. I met my wife in North Carolina, and we've been married for 17 years. We have 3 boys, 16, 14 and 11 years in age. Right after my tour with the U.S. Marines, I came back home (Anchorage) and we raise our three boys near Dimond High School. Now that I know of this 'website', I'll come visit, time to time, and see how you all are doing. Take care and hope to see some of you around town.

From Steve: Hello everyone! Hope all is well. I've been married for ten years and have a great wife and two wonderful boys. Ryan is 7 and Adam is 4. We're doing great and looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. We moved to Phoenix four years ago and I'm flying for US Airways. Summers are a little warm so it will be nice to cool down in Anchorage for a couple of weeks.

Occupation: Athletic
Trainer/Volleyball Coach
Marital Status: Married
From Meredith: As with certain wine, we get better as we age. Right? I remember sitting in McCutcheon's History class thinking yr 2000 was soooo far away and now, it's 2007. As it did with our ten yr, volleyball takes me away again for our twenty yr. Volleyball Festival in Reno is calling and as this is the place my husband, Chad, and I got married then Reno is where we will be for our 3rd anniversary and a week of coaching our U18 team. We met my last year at Whitworth College, where I played volleyball and, yes, went to school for a degree in Athletic Training. We had and extended engagement and in the process started working in that real world we try to avoid for 5 yrs after h.s. I am fortunate I met someone just as crazt about volleyball. We have real jobs but the one that envelopes most of our life is the volleyball club that we run and coach at (VIP Juniors). Our dog, Coho, wonders where we disappear to during the season (which seems to be year round). By the way he is named after the salmon not the hockey stick (much to the dismay of many of my husband's Canadian family). We have no children of our own, but we have 120 each year that we get to spend time with. I try to get back to AK every other year and am still always in awe of how home changes (mom, dad, and sis still live in Anchorage), but of how the beauty never gets old. Cheers to YOU the class of '87!!

From Sheri: Hello everyone! I still live in Anchorage with my husband of 13 years, James Curro, another West High graduate. No children by choice, just lots of TOYS! Corvette, snow machines, and a dune buggy keep us busy summer & winter. After high school I went to travel school. I worked in the airline/travel industry as a Manager & Travel Consultant. This allowed us to travel extensively and after 14 years I decided to try a new career. I Currently work as a Legal Secretary for the Municipal Attorneys Office and really enjoy my job. From Nikole: Hello Class of 1987! Let's see... got married after high school and lived in beautiful Germany for 3 years. The marriage didn't last, however, I have a terrific 15 year old son named Cameron. I've been at the National Weather Service in Anchorage for 15 years this February as an Information Technology Specialist - I found my niche as a computer geek... just don't ask me what the weather is going to be tomorrow! Not even I believe the forecast!
